About Me
I am a Canadian artist whose work explores the deep connection between people and the natural world. I collect sandstone to grind into pigments or use the bark of a tree to add texture, bringing nature into my work. These natural elements carry their own story, layered into mine.

At 43, I unexpectedly suffered a heart-wrenching loss that profoundly changed my life. In my grief, I found solace in being in nature and painting, using these as a therapeutic tool to heal myself and, in turn, heal the world around me.

My early paintings drew on the Western heritage I grew up around — the grit of cowboys, the spirit of cowgirls, the nostalgia of rural life. Over time, my art has evolved to reflect the intimate ways in which nature mirrors our inner journeys.
My new collection, There Will Be Calm within the Storm, captures grief as a storm that eventually finds its quiet resolution in stillness, a reminder that healing often comes through reconnecting with the cycles of the earth.
I paint to celebrate and to reflect: to the beauty and resilience of the natural world, and to reflect the ways those same qualities live within us.
I hope that when people experience my art, they feel a sense of grounding, connection, and belonging, the exact gifts nature has always given me.
