Barley Hanging On

Barely Hanging On

During the bargaining stage of grief, we feel caught between holding on and letting go. It is a time of transition, filled with quiet thoughts of 'if only', 'what if, "one more moment'. The grasp is gentle but desperate, reaching for an outcome that might soften the pain or undo what has already changed. Deep down, we know that bargaining cannot save us from loss. Instead, it is a step on the way to acceptance, where letting go eventually becomes necessary and inevitable.
