Denial-The Fogged Forest

Denial - The Fogged Forest is the second painting in my collection "There Will Be Calm Within the Storm - A Journey of Grief. 
 
After the first hurricane of loss passes through, the world does not return to clarity it goes eerily still. Sound dulls, edges soften, and a dense fog settles in, leaving us to wander a familiar landscape that no longer makes sense, without direction or ground beneath our feet.
 
Time feels suspended here, as if the mind refuses to believe what the heart has already felt, clinging to the fragile hope that this cannot be real. This painting inhabits that disoriented space of early grief, where denial drapes the world in mist, and we move through it slowly, searching for something solid to hold onto.
